Heya, it’s Madison.
My day job is in marketing, I’m a photographer on the weekends, and I’m a writer in the wee hours of the night when my body and the clock are screaming at me (what can I say, that’s when all the good ideas hit!). Some people call me a jack of all trades in the art space, but really I just LOVE to create. Anything and everything I can. It makes me feel alive. That’s just who I am.
Most people associate me with my camera. I’m that obvious tourist traveler who takes pictures of just about everything in sight, and I’ll (usually) do anything to get that perfect shot. When I’m not behind my camera, you might find me somewhere outdoors, possibly behind a fantastic plate of food or a beautiful cocktail, soaking up every moment I can with my handsome husband, Rob.
I’m here to inspire, to guide, and to share beauty and God’s glory with anyone who’s willing to tune in. Because what else are we here in this world for, but each other? I want you to feel what I’ve felt and see a glimpse what I’ve seen so you can go out and see it for yourself. What a lovely life we get to live!
What’s up, it’s Rob.
When I was young, my parents taught me that experiences matter. We didn’t prioritize material things—we went on trips. Madison and I have adopted that mindset in our small family of two, as well.
I’ve got a massive appreciation for nature and geology, and I love a good rock pun. We often forget about the thing (the ground) we walk on every day and the story it tells—and the new stories we can write as we live on it.
On our trips, you’ll usually find me in my running shoes cutting up a tough trail, or on my road bike. I’ve always felt compelled to race. Give me a bike, or a fast car (I’ll drive a V8 any chance I get) and I’ll be set.
I often lack the discipline to write things down that I find interesting, but so many great men through history were able to craft meaningful thoughts, on paper, that last for generations. I want to be one of those men. That’s why I’m here—to share our experiences and inspire other curious couples like us to live full, well-traveled lives.
Our Story
A boy who spent his childhood traveling in and out of the country met a girl who’d barely traveled at all.
The girl was a natural-born creative, inspired by beauty, and the boy was fascinated by the land, native environments, and meeting interesting people.
So how’d they know they loved each other? Among many other things, they traveled well together. Her creative spirit and his curious mind made for two happy travel mates. And now, they’re here. Helping other couples find inspiration and connection through adventure, big and small.
